Meet Dr. Aucoin

Dr. Jude Aucoin, DDS Aucoin Family DentalUpon graduating from LSU School of Dentistry in 1991, Dr. Aucoin and his wife, Lindy, moved from New Orleans to Greensboro where he began practice with Dr. Robert M. Kriegsman. After a 3-year associateship, Dr. Aucoin began a solo practice at his current Pinedale Road location. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Aucoin enjoys time with Lindy and their 2 children, Bode and Keller. A perfect weekend would include traveling, fishing, cooking, playing tennis, and working in his yard. Of course, he’d be exhausted on Monday morning, but one can dream!

Coming from a larger city with much larger needs, Dr. Aucoin felt that care for the indigent population of Greensboro was limited. It was at this time that Dr. Aucoin helped to form a dental clinic to care for Greensboro’s indigent population. Through friends, colleagues and local corporations, he raised over $70,000 to form what is now, through many metamorphic changes, the Guilford Dental Access Program (GDA).  Now operating under grant funds, GDA provides care for over 2900 uninsured Guilford County residents each year.  Dr. Aucoin remains an active advocate for dental care and a volunteer at the clinic.

Dr. Aucoin is a member anfamilyphotod the past president of Guilford County Dental Society, the Third District Dental Society and the North Carolina Dental Society. He has served as a board member on Health Serve Ministry and is currently the liaison and board member of Guilford Adult Dental Health. As education is of paramount importance to him and his family, Dr. Aucoin is a founding board member of Guilford County PAGE (Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education).
